The AIM Institute for Learning & Research™ was created as a center for educational excellence and professional development disseminating to area educators the latest research, technology, and best practices in the fields of learning disabilities, dyslexia and literacy, including Wilson Language Training® and Orton-Gillingham with professional learning courses grounded in the Science of Reading through its fully online AIM Pathways teacher training platform. AIM, with its AIM Academy and AIM Institute, is an education partner in the Haskins Global Literacy Hub with Haskins Laboratories, formally affiliated with University of Connecticut and Yale University. Our programs are designed to foster self-esteem and social responsibility both in the classroom and through our comprehensive athletics, extracurricular and summer enrichment programs. Our rigorous, academic elementary, middle and high school programs, taught by experienced and creative faculty, incorporate evidence-based interventions in an arts-based learning environment that is college preparatory in scope and sequence. Aim High was founded in 1991 to give middle school students opportunities to grow academically and personally. Our after school clubs and homework groups help students succeed academically while developing friendships and improving social skills.įrom writing essays to discussing global issues, from practicing the keys of healthy living to conducting meaningful science experiments, we deliver a college-ready curriculum that encompasses academic, social, emotional, and physical education for 6th-12th grade students. We believe it’s important for students to laugh, share their opinions, and advocate for themselves. This allows us to tailor curriculum to each student’s interests, skills, and needs. We foster this possibility with small class sizes that provide our faculty the opportunity to get to know our students and their families on a personal level.
